pokemon asked:
I used to do an hour of cardio but that got boring. So i started doing 45 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of weight training. I have noticed that I didn’t lose any weight, but rather gained weight. If i stop doing weight training and return to cardio will my muscle become fat?

I started weight training this week and I wear my Nikes for cycling, but my feet hurt when I do the elliptical or weight training. I bought some orthodics as suggested by my doctor. Any suggestions on some really good shoes though?

adrian r asked:
I have been using cardio equipment and exercise DVD’s for the past 8 months and have lost a total of 65 pounds. Two months have gone by and i am still doing the same type of workout but have peaked and have only lost 5 pounds in those two months. I have heard that introducing a weight program accelerates the weight loss. I do the cardio and DVD’s 5 days a week for an hour a day. I want to know what is the best way to get started with the weight training and how I should break down the weekly routine. I have bought my own weight set and bench with all of the plates and dumbbells. Any and all serious answers would be appreciated.

a link to the past asked:
My goals are size and strength.
I do both weight training and cardio - alternating 3 days weight training, 3 days cardio, and 1 day rest.
My weight training workout alternates between 3 sets each of two muscle groups, and then doing the same again but through different exercises, for a total of 12 sets per day, not including abs which are included in every weight training session. For example, one day might be 3 groups of BENCH - (quick rest) - CURLS, followed by 3 groups of CHINUPS - (quick rest) - FLYS.
Sets normally consist of about 12, 10, and 8 reps to fatigue.
Also, is muscle soreness a good indicator of resting that group that day?

I have lost a lot of weight over the past few years, yet I still have body fat still on me. Like on my arms, chest and on my sides. I lose weight by exercising but I have yet to do weight training. If I were to start weight training, how long would it take to see the fat go away and how many times a week should i weight train to get the absolute effect?
