How long would it take to put on 20 pounds of muscle?
Jay H asked:
I work out 3-4 times a week and down 3 protein shakes a day. I don’t eat junk food. How long will it take to put on 20 pounds. My weight so far is 175 and I’m looking to be 195….so that I can start shredding fat and look ripped.

about 2 months. you could also try a creatine supplement such as that from muscletech.
they advertise 14lbs in the first 2 weeks but most of that is your body retaining water (but over all creatine + protein supplements increase your strength and weight gain significantly.)

HAHAhAHA Thorb is a complete moron. On a 3day a week workout of 2 muscles each day for 1 and a half hour, for ONE YEAR, you will put on 15 pounds of muscle. Taking protein shakes would bring that up to about 20-25.
IF you decide to use creatine, you will think you are gaining muscle mass, when all you are gaining is WATER weight, because what creatine does is retain water to make your muscles look bigger, but if you decide to stop working out/ injury/ ect, they will start sagging like some peoplewho takesteroids do. So i hope that helped.

A very long time. At least a year or two. You have to eat like a horse. I tried eating 5 times a day, but I felt sick all the time. So I figured out screw this, I’ll keep working out and stay around 170
